Daily Markdown ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our macOS application.
Data Collection
We do not collect any personal data.
Daily Markdown is designed with privacy as a core principle. The app:
- Does not collect personal information
- Does not track your usage or behavior
- Does not use analytics services
- Does not contain advertising
- Does not share any data with third parties
Data Storage
All your notes and settings are stored:
- Locally on your device in the Application Support folder
- In your personal iCloud account (if iCloud is enabled on your device)
Your data never passes through our servers. We have no access to your notes or any other information you enter into the app.
iCloud Sync
If you have iCloud enabled, Daily Markdown uses Apple's iCloud service to sync your notes across your devices. This sync is:
- End-to-end encrypted by Apple
- Stored in your personal iCloud container
- Subject to Apple's privacy policy
- Completely under your control
We do not have access to your iCloud data. You can disable iCloud sync at any time through your Mac's System Settings.
Third-Party Services
Daily Markdown does not integrate with any third-party services, analytics platforms, or advertising networks. The app functions entirely offline except for optional iCloud synchronization provided by Apple.
Data Deletion
You have complete control over your data:
- Delete individual notes at any time within the app
- Clear all data using the "Clear All Data" option in Settings
- Uninstall the app to remove all local data
- Manage iCloud data through your Apple ID settings
Children's Privacy
Daily Markdown does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13 years of age.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
